Not unexpected, and this does signal the end of an era.

I respect his courage in being willing to walk away from the empire he built knowing that only a subset of his followers will want to pivot over. I think it's going to be very difficult for the existing membership to turn on a dime like this. Most will probably attempt to carry on as before either out of ignorance or defiance of the new rules and face the ban-hammer.

I always appreciated the locker-room talk as there are too few places left where it's possible to do that without being shamed for political incorrectness. Take that away and I fear it's going to feel rather dull.
