One of my childhood friend's father snatched up an Amish girl during rumspringa, she never visited or communicated with her community again. He always joked that he "kidnapped" her. She had lifelong mental illness and substance abuse issues and was generally difficult to be around. It probably didnt help that is was 1968 and they she went immediately from her farm to the hippy commune that her "captor" lived on at the time.
