Good question. Mexico and Guatemala have similar accents, and El Salvador isn't too far off.
They speak faster than Colombians but were easier to understand than Argentinians, in my experience. WAY better than Cubans, who are utterly incomprehensible.
I do remember one funny thing though: a papusa vendor asked me if I had a "cora," by which she meant a US quarter. Hah.
