I took the VIA train. Cost me $61 1 way. Not cheap. Extremely comfortable though. 50lb luggage limit like an airline.

For cheap travel within Quebec, I recommend using a service called Allo stop, basically its a car sharing service where you can hitch a ride to various cities for cheap, I used to pay $10 to get from Sherbrooke to Mtl, probably around $20 to go to QC.
Nice. Craigslist rideshare also regularly has rides to QC from MTL and vice versa. Like $15-20.
