Recently met with a friend who spent a week in Peru drinking this stuff with Shamen. Seriously...
When I met him it looked like he had found God or something. I'm normally skeptical of this kind of stuff but he did have a glow to him. He explained it as some sort of fast tracking to a sort of spiritual awakening. He was telling me that he has given up trying to 'control life' and every thing just seems to be 'happening'
There is apparently some science behind it...in that it releases chemicals normally found in high concentrations at death (haven't verified this myself)
