This is the second datasheet on Yachting I've read now and I think i really want to go for it.
I'll give a little background info on myself. I'm 18, living with parents in a small town near London. I finished school at 16 and I did a Engineering level 3 btec course (its not worth much at all, i still know fuck all about engineering). I left that because i did not enjoy engineering. I then did a year of Graphic Design course (lvl 3 btec graphic design) which again was a waste of time although i gained some photoshop skills and from that course learned that i definitely dont want to go into that profession..
I'm currently working a part time job at a B&Q store. It's boring af but I'm earning money and because im leeching off my parents by living at home I'm saving about 90% of what i earn.. I've been working since christmas and have £4.5k saved.
Does anybody have some advice on what i should do to get my foot in this. I have no previous experience in sailing/yachting whatsoever. Although I have a family friend who is living in the Greek Islands and they used to be part of the yachting community there. I went to stay at theres last summer and I did notice alot of South Africans around the port area..
Thanks for the info Patron, your lifestyle looks ideal!
