Hackers steal from banks and this is news? HAHAHA
What about the big banks and wall street stealing from the people? That fleecing makes $1b look like chump change.
Recently, my "friendly" neighborhood bank raised their cost of sending a domestic wire from $15 to $25. I complained and the bank manager told me it was because "the Fed raised the cost that it charges banks to send a wire so we have to pass the cost along unfortunately." Well, I went home and researched how much the Fed charges banks to send a wire and it was 40 cents. So the banks charge a 6250% markup on a service and this is not robbery? Please....
And that doesn't even scratch the surface of how we are ripped off by these behemoths.
