the sony's also looked like they would fall apart a lot quicker than the audio tech's and did not come with a leather pouch. extremely happy with my audiotech purchase, here is a smooth song that sounds great with good speakers

Quite the opposite, those Sony's are massively popular and last years. Maybe not the best for everyday listening. They are studio headphones after all - that flat sound is ideal for producers and engineers.
