Sure. Japan is a big country with a lot of depth, and will continue to be a good place for foreign players. But it's deteriorating and anecdotally shields are getting higher. In the past, Japanese girls didn't see foreign men as sex-crazed or love tourists, but they are starting to give shit tests along those lines. (Anecdotal from my friends on the ground in Tokyo).

Speak the language, dress and carry yourself well, and do the opposite of what Julien does in that video and you will be fine.

Yup. This is a pet peeve of mine. "Asia" is largely a western construct and Japanese don't buy into it. They don't see much commonality with China or Korea, let alone Indonesia or Myanmar. Here in Australia people are always making generalisations about Asians or "eating Asian food". WTF is Asian food?
