Everyone's talking about Gone Girl. I saw the trailer a few months ago and thought it looked like a rehash of another movie Affleck was involved with, Gone Baby Gone. I kind of passed it off.
I saw it last night in a packed movie theater. I took a girl with me and the first place we went it was sold out. Got to the 2nd theater 45 minutes early and waited in two separate long lines to get tickets in squeeze in. It was close to a Star Wars-level showing in terms of numbers.
Without getting into spoilers the movie itself was amazing...Pretty much as good as cinema gets in my opinion. My only complaint was that it was really fucking long at 2 1/2 hours. Unlike some long films though, only one or two people left the theater the entire time to go pee or whatever. I myself had to piss for 90% of the film but just held it in because the movie was so good.
Highly recommend this movie. There's even some Red Pill observations that will be pretty obvious to you guys.
