Yea, the S&W model 66 is my bedside gun. The model 66 was designed by S&W for the police back in the day before semi-autos became suitably reliable. It was stainless steel, back when SS was still a big deal, and therefore very low maintenance -- plus the K-frame was much lighter than the N-frame model 28 Highway Patrolman (also designed for police use) that S&W marketed it to replace.
