For losing weight it's hard to beat, since you're covering the two main supplements (calcium and fish pills), and eating solid food to combat hunger.
The only drawback is the fishy taste, but I found that's all in the skin of the sardine, which can be rinsed off. Once you do that it tastes the same as tuna with no mercury.
Damn, that's some great knowledge right there. That's my only dispute with sardines - the overpowering taste.
