I don't think you need to take protein 30 minutes after working out. Its hard to believe protein could be absorbed that quickly to begin with since its not broken down totally in the stomach acid. What did hunter gathers do as well with a hunt after killing an animal? Immediately start biting into the animal before flaying and cooking it? I doubt the muscles will eat themselves that quickly. Their is food and protein being circulated all the time due to how slow digestion is. The food from yesterday is still being broken down into its elements that the body can use.
Protein powder is a scam.
