Nice report Irish.
Damn, you've got me thinking about going back for a better look.
I was there briefly in 2011 but sounds like it is changing fast, and with your intel I could have a good time.
Ahh, so many places, so little time.

Cheers man. I quite enjoy putting these things together and helping out other lads with some intel. Just wish I had more time to dedicate to it. It's good especially to get a range of opinions as well so the more datasheets the better. As one man's heaven can be another man's hell. The place def changed a lot from when I was there a few years back, I imagine a lot of asia is getting that way as well.

I just got wind of this from another member. Solid write-up and, of course, major props for battling through the weekend in spite of the blurred vision / cosmetic issues. For a white guy in Saigon, it's all about differentiation. You rolled in with a positive attitude, were very prepared for the local shit tests, and had solid logistics. These all contributed to your success. 2.5/3 in Saigon on the first 3 nights is no joke.

I'm going to dish out some more data for the community in due course, as I think there are important gaming implications for short-term visitors vs. long-term residents, targeting 20-24 year old students vs. 25+ career women, etc. Hell, Apo on a Friday/Saturday night is a gold mine when compared to the weekdays.

A round of Irish car bombs awaits you upon your return.

Cheers man, it was a pleasure to meet you too. We should do it more often [Image: thumb.gif]

It was an eye opening (wayheeey) weekend for sure. You definitely gave me some food for thought when we were chatting about the asian travelling lifestyle while financing it through the running of an online business. To be honest I am looking to do a few months travelling as came into a bit of cash and have some rental income coming in too, so I am sure it is do-able, and fuck me I deserve it after the hours I have been working. It's just a question of timing and knowing that with the real stringent VISA & employment pass laws here I would probably be turning my back on Singapore for good once I quit my job. I love it so much here I really don't want to do that without having some 'in' to come back again to eventually. But I'm trying to work a couple of angles on that front, my networking is generating some leads.

I will let you know when I will be back over, so many places I'm keen to go to round SE Asia, plus so much happening here too, can't make my mind up.

Looking forward to your write up man, we probably should start a seperate thread as I probably should have done with my HCMC data sheet. I will do so for next time when i do my Jakarta write up. Just waiting on sorting my return trip there to try out a couple more venues and expand my knowledge of the place. Sorting with a mate from here who is over a lot and his bird is quite hooked up so can get us the best tables with some comped bottles. Planning on meeting up with Elim as well and whoever else RVF'ers might be in town. Plus I have a few irons in the fire from the previous Jaks trips, including a chick who till now I didn't realise is apparently one of the top female DJ's in Indonesia(!!)
