Pete how much do you charge to mix and master recorded songs and do you have your stuff set up so that people can pay you online to mix and master for them?
For mixing I normally charge about $100 - 200. Which is about $25/hr for mixing which normally takes me no more than 4 hours. Mastering about $75.

I can show you a few songs I've worked if you're interested.

In the last few months I started using some Yamaha NS-10M Studio. WHOAA!! My mixes have improved 400%. Anyone here uses them?>

The NS10's are good monitors. It sucks that they are out of production. However, they are in most professional studios as a backup pair so there is some familiarity for contracted engineers. I tell all my buds that are getting into mixing that the two most important things in obtaining a good mix are a properly treated room and knowing how your monitors sound in that room.

Yeah. I love them. I start my mix on them and when I'm comfortable I switch to my other monitors and by then I only have to make minor tweaks.

The thing about the NS-10's is that if you get the mid freqs right it will sound beautiful in any other speakers.
