yeah they get extremely insecure. It's annoying as hell. One ex used to always ask me if I thought she was pretty and would tell me she loved me at least 10 times a day.
Same thing with jealousy. Although the jealousy normally manifests itself as insecurity, because I won't deal with a violently jealous bitch.
