I'd say that you have a SIGNIFICANT advantage as someone in their late 20's (or older) in the college scene. You don't even have to necessarily worry about looking older--- lots of older people go back to college too, unless you look an old 40 year old+ guy.
A lot of 18 year old dudes look A LOT younger and are dweebs with no real game. I found the absolute easiest way is just to take a class-- heck why not make it a language class. The first half of the class no one talks to each other, but by midway through the class, girls open up. Towards the end of the class, you can have nearly half the attractive girls clamoring for you.
Other particular goldmines are the departments of education, nursing, health care and related coursework like biology, chemistry and intro physics. Just to let you know, most nursing classes are 90%+ women.
