I have a notebook (physical paper notebook to keep me away from computer) where I write down in abbreviated form my tasks for the day as well as details on how many hours I slept, how many reps and sets of exercises I made with what weight, what and when I ate, how much money I earned, what I bought, how many numbers I got, any bangs I got and did I succeeded in abstaining from some bad habits on that day.
I summarize this and analyze give the final score for my day at the end, takes about 15 minutes per day. Once per week I give myself rewards based on the weeks average score. The rewards are time spent on video games which is my greatest addiction and the only one that I don't want to give up, sometimes some snacks. I also give myself experience and level ups like to an RPG character. It may sound silly but I would not be able to resist playing video games nearly every day if I wouldn't do this. With this I can minimize it to only 4-6 hours once per week or even rarer. I must see myself constantly as a video game character with stats to improve or I will seek it in virtual world.
