The conversation may not have sounded that exciting, but I heard some good conversation game going on there:
1. He tried not to ask too many questions, instead making insightful-sounding statements which prompted her to contribute to the conversation on her own.
2. His statements included a mix of teasing, jokes, qualifying, challenging, and deep rapport.
3. Didn't give too much information about himself all at once, but let it dribble out in small amounts.
4. As he escalated the kino he went more into the deep rapport, feelings-type conversation which is like crack for women.
5. He kept his voice (and presumably his demeanor) slightly detached and aloof, so as not to communicate neediness or sycophancy.
6. I understand you're not supposed to discuss the boyfriend/husband, but in this case he used a discussion about it to eliminate LMR.
7. After a minute or so of that conversation about her boyfriend on the balcony, her voice changes and I think she's signaling that she's ready for the kiss. He keeps the conversation going, however. I suspect that he wasn't fully aware of the signal she was sending because he was affected by alcohol. Because of that he uses what sounds like a script to go for the kiss, "Wine makes me kiss people." Hey, it worked.
You can hear her IOI increasing as she laughs more often and longer at what he says in the pub. I think this recording shows that anyone can learn and do game if they deliberately work at it and pay attention to what they're doing.
