1. Vietnam is pretty easy to get laid. Being a foreigner gives you a HUGE advantage for lots of the hoes. There are plenty of clubs in district 1 (NOT all are hooker bars). Check out Lush and Gossip Club to meet some very sexy locals. The locals are also quite friendly, from my experience. In Lush, I met a group of people who invited me to their table and gave me free drinks/fruit. Overall I had a good night life experience in HCMC. Definitely go for HCMC though, not Hanoi.
2. The weather is harsh. Hot/humid. (I was there in April). Seems like no girls go out during the day because of the heat. However, night time is great, and the weather is pleasant. The food in HCMC is awesome. I ate lots of great street food. I also went to this awesome restaurant (sorry, i forgot the name), and had ostrich bbq for $5.
3. Not sure about apartments, but I'm sure they are cheaper than HK or BKK.
