I guess I will call the embassy tomorrow to take care of that stat. Other question is can I send directly to a consulate or go through a private agency? Would be great if anybody could give me more insight, thx!
The consulates in the US are making stuff up as they go , to get less people to apply for the visa. I just did mine in London without going through any of what you said. I showed up with what the American consulates wanted and they threw it away saying I don't need it. Also never heard of the property ownership. That is a new one they just put in there.
