The problem I've always had with these types of conspiracy theories is the use of the word "THEY."
Who is "THEY"?
Is there really a group of older white gentlemen with white beards sitting in a room like the Architect from the 2nd Matrix movie plotting the next season's "harvest"?
Because none of us have access to the capitalist nobility (the top 1 percent of the top 1 percent) we'll never know; we'll be left guessing. My guess is that as money is passed from generation to generation a set of practices and attitudes are transferred from generation. Much like a carpenter doesn't recognize the individuality of his nails, the capitalist nobility views workers in much the same way. Interchangeable, not unique, and ultimately a tool to get the job done. The job is to make money.
As far as Kristian's point,
If you believe the video to be true, this argument doesn't address the system's need to have it's "livestock" consume (spend $$$) and be taxed on their earnings. If you're an entrepreneur you're still engaging in the system; you're being taxed on your earnings and people are purchasing your goods/services with money earned from selling their labor.
Quite frankly I think there is no way out of this system. Capitalism makes us all whores that sell ourselves to the highest bidder. The best option is to be the highest paid whore you can be.
