Sounds like you were pretty persistent, I'm not sure there's any way you could have gotten the bang in that instance. One thing that sometimes works but is kind of high-risk is the Style freeze-out from The Game. If you keep getting resisted on the same move, say "ok," then nonchalantly turn on the lights, turn off music, or whatever else to completely kill the vibe, then completely withdraw your attention and start doing something unrelated like checking your email.
The key to this is not to make it look like you're frustrated or butthurt at all, simply respecting her wishes to not have sex which is completely okay and now going about your own business. About half the time this will backfire and she'll start putting on clothes and getting ready to leave, but the other half of the time she'll either start bargaining with you ("but we can do other things...") or simply re-engage you physically. Then you're in business again. You're making her feel insecure and refusing to validate her desire for attention without getting what you want in return, but again in a completely laid-back, nonjudgmental, non-frustrated way.
