Quick question: is it better game to stay with a female host, or to stay somewhere else and meet a woman at a bar/park/wherever?

If it is staying with a woman at her house, any good techniques that won't get me thrown on the streets in the middle of the night?

I'm quite new to this, but am going away for a bit soon, so hoping to get some practice in. Have learned a lot from reading the forums.
