The only way a case for her hard work would be her making connections and being great at networking while working and at Harvard.

Rumours going around now that she's not going to stick at Facebook (Can't climb further up the ladder unless Zuckerberg drops dead) so she's eying to enter politics and public service, which wouldn't be surprising as after her book comes out she'll be further in the spotlight.
