I completely agree with G on the last call policy. It's the dumbest thing ever. Quite a tragedy when you think about it. An internationally known place like California, especially Los Angeles, shouldn't have venues closing that early. I dealt with that in San Francisco last week. Approached a set of sisters and just as things were about to get going they were kicking us out. Unbelievable. I like to hit venues late (midnight or so). And I may not stay in one venue the whole night. I find myself calling audibles from time to time, especially if I'm in a new city.
