Thailand Hotel/Accomodation Bookings

Quick question for you experienced Thailanders, what is the deal with hotels in Thailand being girlfriendly, do any hotels have a no guest policy or is it pretty much assumed that lone male travelers will be bringing birds back to the rooms?

I assume bringing a tourist chick back wouldn't be an issue, but bringing a scantily dressed Thai gal might?

I'm considering hitting Phuket and/or Samui, if anyones had issues with cockblock hotels a heads up would be appreciated

Just came back from the islands in Thailand and will be posting a datasheet this weekend hopefully. In Koh Samui stayed at the Blue Lagoon hotel and it is guest friendly. They also have a sister hotel which isn't quite as nice but is about half the price, and if I went back I would stay there. Its called the Beachcomber. The pool isn't as nice as Blue Lagoon and the rooms were slightly inferior as well but the price is significantly better for not too much of a dropoff.

Didn't hit Phuket, but in Koh Phi Phi our hotel we found out was NOT guest friendly. This was the Phi Phi Casita, don't stay there if you want to bring chicks back. It can be done, but a total pain in the ass. Tried to bring a girl from Norway back unsuccessfully and was forced then to handle biz on the beach. It was handled, but with a paid for room I would have preferred the bed of course.

You better check the hotels in Phuket as I know they are not all "guest friendly".
