I dunno, I think it's more nuanced than just "girls will either see you as a beta nice guy or an alpha cad who they want to fuck." Girls care a lot about perception and what other girls think, and as we know politics among women is very complicated. When girls see you as "the player that just wants his nut," it can go two ways.
- You are sufficiently DHV'd and generally desired that it will cause self-selection among the girls that like you and just want to have sex. Your game is so tight or effortless that, even if she's already heard that you're a player, she doesn't realize she's being gamed when you target her.
- ...or it can set off the "slut alarm" and cause girls to be more resistant when you try to game them because, yep, your reputation already set off a red flag. They won't turn off their logical side of the brain because they're wary of what you're trying to do.
I don't know what Sketness's skill level is. I think it's a bad idea to tell beginners that reputation doesn't matter, because that kind of stuff sticks with you and forces girls to make a judgment call about you even before you open your mouth to start gaming. Given that Sketness is in a fraternity, though, I don't think it'll hurt him that much--that sort of reputation is pretty much expected from frat guys.
