Great, convincing breakdown, OP. I've been to Geneva - Lake Parade was a blast! I also spent a month studying in Lausanne.
I personally think Switzerland is underrated. Zurich and Lausanne are definitely the two top party cities and highly recommended by me as living destinations if you've got the bankroll. Both are situated smack dab on a lake and are beautiful cities with an overall energetic vibe. It's a very active, outdoorsy culture so the average person is in great shape, and in Zurich you see absolute stunners walking down the street on a regular basis.
Of course, everyone there is into skiing or snowboarding, but for visitors who've got the time, head to Interlaken and go paragliding in the Alps. What a view!

Beyond All Seas
"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe.
To be your own man is a hard business. If you try it, you'll be lonely often, and sometimes
frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." - Kipling
