There is a rather Naijalicious food consumed that feels adequately heavy. Very fibrous and very filling for those who are doing laborous work. I swear it always helps with losing weight ironically.
It's called garri or eba. In plant form, it's known as yucca to the Hispanics and cassava to English speakers. However, in its ground form, where it is in granules similar, you add hot water and pound into a dough and then you eat it with a stew. My appetite is fiendish and I know no one who has eaten that and felt hungry 2 hours later. It sticks to your ribs like a Bernard Hopkins jab.
You can find it in West African stores, usually run by Ghanians. Here in Miami, I buy it from an Indian Jamaican woman who runs a West Indian store.
If you can't find it, maybe see if you can order it online or make friends with a local Nigerian and he or she will find you some.
P.S. No matter where you are in the world, you will find a Nigerian close by.
Guaranteed.
