LA is way better quality wise if you are talking about West LA/Hollywood nightlife vs DC nightlife. They don't even compare.

As someone who's done a little micro-budget filmmaking in LA, I can tell those girls going to the graveyard ( aren't we all) are consumers of the film industry, not the teeming hordes of actress wannabees and descendants of hot wannabees.

The aspiring, hot actresses I dealt with are either busting ass organizing things or going to auditions or cavorting someplace like Vegas with their Alpha "friends."

A bucolic film night out at the graveyard is just not chic or career-helping enough to attract the really hot LA/Hollywood chicks.

I've thought about it, and the competition is so fierce-- if you are a hot 23 year old there, you have about 1200-1400 days to get work and "make it" against all odds until your beauty really starts to fade compared to the perfection of the hundreds of 19 and 20 year olds arriving every day.
If you're not a true 9 so you can get pure beauty gigs, or an 8+ with really outstanding acting and work ethic, you are screwed: Welcome to your retail or production assistant/script girl ( if you're really smart) / office job; or at best, trophy wife position.

Many chicks become escorts, the quality is high, there's lots of money and 8+ girls make I think $300/hr and up.

The good side is even hot chicks there are deferential and polite if they're working with you on films, they know there's 1000's more where they came from and don't put on an arrogant attitude ( until maybe they reach a level I was never in contact with) . They're actually quite hardworking, even when you can only afford to pay $50 per day. They really love acting.

I'd imagine the directors, producers, casting directors in Hollywood are literally cleaning it up with 8's and 9's. I'm not privy to the industry, but I'm guessing a lot of them give parts in exchange for sex.
