I thought this was gonna be a thread on Snookie and Paulie D. SOOOO disappointed.
I am one of the few Jersey Shore natives who actually like that show. It is the only show I watch. Without people like that, there would be no Jersey Shore. I really don't understand all the hate. I guess that means they are doing something right.
I inadvertently left out two Cape May County/Atlantic County beach communities on my datasheet, Strathmere and Brigantine. These are probably the two least known of all Jersey Shore towns in those two counties. Strathmere is a part of Upper Township, Cape May County which is located between Sea Isle City and Brigantine. It is a very quiet place and only has a pancake house and a restaurant/bar called the Deauville Inn. I went to the Deauville with my dad years ago at about 7:00 P.M. on a summer night to have dinner. The place was completely packed. It appeared as though we would have to wait at least an hour to be seated and we therefore left. I heard people hype the bar and tell me what a great singles scene the place had. I went there with very high expectations at around 12:00 midnight on a Saturday in the middle of the summer either last summer or the summer before. The place was either closed for the night or was about to close. I really don't know what the deal is/was and any information would be appreciated. It appears as though it would be a good place to have dinner and maybe a few drinks early in the night. It really is not my style to start drinking in the day, afternoon, or early evening.
Brigantine is a town directly north of Atlantic City. The municipality does not appear to have any ordinance regarding the hours when alcohol may be served. A bar could in theory stay open twenty-four hours a day. I believe the very few bars there set their own closing times. In any event, Brigantine is not a very happening place. I also hear people further south complain about the quality of the waves there.
