I think hair is an important thing in lying about your age. My hair loss makes me look older then I am in all probability so if I said to a girl that I'm 30 she'd probably just think that I look shit for my age and it would be a major DLV and defeat the object of lying. If you have a good head of hair and look the age you are then you can shave off a few years and get away with it.
I do lie about lot's off other shit though.
