I got an M4 H20, and I'm unable to tell any difference whatsoever between it and the 500 Mariner.
Maybe three times a week I shoot lines for fishing. On top of that I'll snag a shark maybe once a week, so I've maybe used the thing 50 to 55 times, tops. Still, it was not worth 2 grand, when the Mariners are only 500 dollars.
Yeah, for home defense, I'd go simple pump action. Better yet, go with an AR. Superior to a shotgun for home defense in just about every aspect.
