What I usually do is procrastinate. While this is not effective for everyone, let me explain.
I make a list of all the shit I have to do for school or whatever, and when the deadlines, etc, get unbearable, I lock myself in my room and literally bust myself to finish everything. That way I can keep up marginally solid grades while keeping my slacker attitude towards life.
