For me the great value of RVF was that it was a safe space for men for a wide range of lifestyles/views, with men working hard to be better at whatever they were chasing at life.

I was disappointed watching it slide into politics (where there will never be a right answer). I do think politics and race are not subjects that men that are interested in self-improvement should engage in, and it would be great if they weren't allowed. I stopped posting there and switched to lurking because the old forum shifted to generating hot air. That said, I still felt the loss when Roosh decided to burn the whole thing down.

I respect that Roosh has been saved by Jesus, he seems much happier based on his blog posts.

I would like the (old) forum to carry on without him, so I was pleasantly suprised to find citron had revived it. Thank you very much citron! I do hope this forum (again) attracts the kind of high caliber men that the old forum managed to attract.

I remember joining the forum specifically because of a user called WorldWideGlobal, whose posts were so amazing that I knew I needed to be in the same 'room' as him.

I haven't answered the question of this thread though - yes, it's worth reviving, because no where could you get such high quality and frank advice as on the old forum, and I have missed it greatly. I was not raised to be a 'man', and in a way the forum was my surrogate father, uncle, big brother, etc. In some ways I managed to pay things back to users who were undergoing the same struggles I had.

As much as I am not interested in game/travel at this stage in my life, I am always keen on self-improvement and in particular my ever poor social skills, and I look forward to once again contributing and getting to know a new generation of men becoming great.

I decided not to reactivate my old account, as the name of my old account was actually too suggestive of who I was, but it should be fairly obvious to anyone who was read my posts at a time when I was active.

I look forward to seeing where this forum goes!

On the basis of your above comments, I believe you should consider purchasing a sexuality test from either Target or Walmart. Possibly what you need is not self-improvement but a new identity. Any normal male viewing RVF would instantly conclude that it is worthless 

Mate, not everyone can be a jacked alpha male like you. Plenty of lads are born into shitty dysfunctional single mother households with no male role models whatsoever to guide them. RVF may not have been able to help in some cases, but in others it's been rewarding watching and helping in some small way. Knowing that you changed a guys life for the better. Hell, I had my life changed for the better. I wasn't always good around girls.

There's tons of travel info on other forums. Whilst that was a great part of RVF, the self improvement section was absoloutely golden. Hundreds of men offering actionable advice on everything from fitness to diet to game. Supporting and rooting for others, dragging them up to their level rather than dragging them down like crabs in a bucket.

That's whats missing these days from every similar forum.

Yes, the first part is accurate, a self-improvement forum would be a terrific idea, but it must be led by intelligent, healthy men who are typically out living life not writing 1000s of post per day, which is why I advise a big number of men to acquire a new sexual identity. It would be a lot easier for them. Unfortunately, the majority of this forum's content is designed and geared toward the mentally handicapped, and is therefore harmful to regular, healthy guys. Normal men, for instance, would realize after a period of time that online dating is for social rejects and move on, but here, you have folks with mental disabilities advocating doubling down and other rubbish, as wonderfully described in this essay:

I think you're missing the point. The RFV of old had self improvement threads either by the men you describe, or with solid contributions from. The very first thing any socially awkward lad was told upon signing up and asking 'how do I become more confident and get girls' was- lift heavy and eat right. That's literally the basis for any transformation of body and soul- yes, many couldn't get past this and devolved into mental masturbation, but for those that did the forum was a lifeline. I want that old forum back, not the mental masturbation. Possibly you haven't read back far enough in the forum's hisotry before it all got political?

Online dating back in the day was huge- I don't know about now, as I scored a 9 from online dating and we've been together five years now. I put that all down to RVF- obviously also to the work I put in also, but without RVF pointing me in the right direction I'd be just another lost young man. There were great threads about online dating, and solid actionable advice. It was a fun place. A less serious place. Then the 'black pill' came along and it all went political from there I suppose.

Sure, men have more health problems if they don't maintain muscles to support their immune system, which is weaker than a woman's. Females have two sets of immune system repair and stability of energy pathways to defend against energy or byproduct. As a result, there are generally fewer females on the autism spectrum. However, muscles are only part of the equation. Unfortunately, this forum is based on obsolete information that will only lead to a black hole.

I think it was a poster named Samseau (sp?) who called it a while ago - that inevitably the discussion about mate selection/women will become political. He wasn't wrong. 

And yeah, like so many other new things, when dating apps first came out they were huge, but it did not take long before they too went the way of craigslist. Another poster mentioned "those apps are not for you, they are for HER," illustrating the increasingly diminishing returns from such time sinks. All that is by design, if you consider who makes and supports those apps.

There's ways to game them, sure, but your ROI is still pretty slim. Some girl posted her stats from Tinder (not sure how she downloaded them), and the guy who finally hooked up was one of thousands who she initially screened. She wasn't even all that hot, IIRC. Are you kidding me? Get a real life and let them come to you.

I took your advice and did a sexuality test. I was disturbed by the result but I realised that it was correct and that I have lived my life in denial.
