That guy clearly doesn't know much about dogs.

It's the exact opposite of what you want,

You have to make him give it to you.
Use treats.

You give her a compliment when she does a behavior that pleases you.
Treats are like compliments.
Put something tasty in front of him and he'll open his mouth--and drop whatever he's holding--to taste it
Gotta have treats when you're training a dog.
But that's not what the person quoted was doing.
He was just fucking around with it.
That's the kind of shit people get bit doing...
