The bhat is really strong atm. I remember when I came here in 2017 I was essentially paying 30% more than the previous year due to the less favourable exchange rate.
Still not really that expensive. Taxis are dirt cheap, 50 tbh should get you a decent Thai meal, etc. Your biggest expense will likely be accomodation. Get a place a little further out from the center and costs go way down.
