Western beggars in 3rd world countries

There was a guy in the bodybuilding online community that left America and moved to Thailand as a digital nomad and his online business failed him and ran out of savings. He did not want to return to America and work like everyone else. So he decided to throw a fake charity and begged for money thinking nobody would find out since he was in a third world country. He begged people on instagram and manipulated one of his friend's that is popular on instagram to help him bring awareness for his fake charity.

He received $18,000 for his fundraiser claiming he needed like $20,000 for a surgery in Colombia and that his first surgery for $10,000 failed and bankrupted him.

Here he is thanking everyone for the $18,000 USD that he received. What an actor.

He claimed his hospital bill was over $10,000 and bankrupted him and needed another surgery or he would lose his leg. As someone who has lived in Colombia, Medellin and went to a Colombia Emergency room and knows Colombian prices, I knew it was bullshit. I contacted the hospital myself for the bill because i have strong morals and hate to see lazy lying pieces of shits like this get handouts. (he had the hospital name on his instagram then removed it when people asked him for the receipts) but they told me they couldnt do nothing due to privacy laws.

I would be surprised if his hospital was even over $300 USD. When I went to the emergency room in Medellin, I paid like $30 usd

Sadly nothing has been done. Gofundme doesnt care. Only posting this because of this thread subject.

I watched some of his youtube vids a while back. Seemed like a solid dude. Thats unfortunate if true.

Funny enough had an expat do the exact same thing in Saigon. Some junkie esl teacher supposedly needed a heart transplant and his family did a GFM for over $30,000. His uncle who was peddling the GFM in the expat groups on FB lives in my building lol.

Then next day somebody in the expat FB group spotted the junkie on Bui Vien spending his loot.
