Women are attracted to men who can attract other women. That is why the concept of social proof exists. Women also project on to men. They assume we are attracted to what they are attracted to - someone who is socially proofed. They don't see it as making you jealous. They see it as showing off their value to you. Men do not value social proof. We value loyalty. So we are projecting our values on to women as well. Women have no loyalty. They are hypergamous by nature. A woman trying to make you "jealous" is actually her qualifying herself to you. She's trying to get you to chase her, or worse- validate her. The validation feeds her ego.

Passive indifference is trying to be zen. It sucks. Don't do that. By sexually escalating, you weed out all women who are trying to use you for validation. And for the ones that are trying to get you to chase, they get what they want. Either way, all games end with active indifference/over-escalation.
