Rotisserie chickens at the supermarket are my best friend when I'm in the road. Sure they might have some questionable flavorings added, but who cares in the short term. If you need the carbs then add some fruit, nuts and packaged salads and you'll not only eat well but save a shit load of money.
Otherwise if you're only traveling for a short time, eat whatever you damn want. Life's too short to deprive yourself the pleasure of trying out local foods when you're traveling just for the sake of not gaining a couple of pounds.
