I'm all for training and learning different skills. I waterboard myself for fun,and do lots of rolling stuff currently. I definitely think it's cool if you want to skate but skating for girls isn't gonna work to well.

Getting girls aside Alternative training /activity methods are everywhere.
If you want to do bjj get good at ground movements like shrimping,forward rolls,backward rolls,gramby rolls,neck bridges,headstands,dumptrucks,and sprawls.
That stuff is huge for grappling are awesome ground movements to chain together.
Drown proofing work and breath hold work is cool and cheap as fuck. Best way to work on them is in a hot tub. I remember seeing videos of Laird Hamilton doing it yeeears ago and I always knew seals did it but I never trained for it specifically other than trying to do handstands in the water. Once I started doing that stuff heavy I think it should be considered just as much a part of fitness as weights, body weight training,or yoga,but fuck it fitness is just code for a toxic fucked up body that moves like shit.
Boxing gyms are cheap.
