No offense man but going to a shitty house party doesn't seem to be a good way to judge the city. I know nothing about Dallas, maybe it does suck but it sounds like your experience was a single house party, hard to really judge a whole city based on that.

House party was not good, but then again, every house party i've been to in Dallas is bad. I'm suggesting that the beer is overpriced, the traffic too bad, and everything closes too early. You can find places with good ratios if you know where to look, but a lot of time it's just luck.

>> the beer is overpriced

Great, so don't drink it.

>> the traffic too bad

Lots of cities are this way.

>> everything closes too early

So you can close girls and get sleep as well? Sounds amazing.

>> You can find places with good ratios if you know where to look

Sounds like paradise. In SF, you can't find places with good ratios ever.

Right! I have a deep-seated hatred of Dallas, so maybe that's apparent. But, if you were an out of town person, looking to vacation somewhere in Texas, I would definitely try to steer you away from Dallas: to Austin, or Houston. But, I'm sure compared to California it would seem great, the traffic is not as bad and it's a lot cheaper, and there's a lot less socialist idiocy. Ratios can be good, but everyone in Dallas has a huge ego, and Dallasites think they're smarter than they really are. 12-2A are the big hours, but that's two hours and then everything closes at 2, so it's hard to have a good time when you only have two prime hours for partying.

Are you really a one time Dallasite? Because these observations are not really astute at all, nor contain the kind of wisdom one would expect from somebody with a modicum of the experience or understanding of the people and social scene dynamics. Seeing as how you appear unaware how many establishments in the vicinity of I 35 will simply lock all the doors at 2am, while allowing customers to remain and continue buying alcohol after hours suggests you haven’t invested enough time into the place. Dallas is rough on newcomers, because it tends to work in ways that are very counterintuitive to outsiders. It’s definitely a place where you have to find the spots far more often than the spots find you. That may not be for everybody, but for those of us who enjoy the challenge and adventure, it’s a fun process figuring out this city and others like it through trial and error if you have the will and time to do so.

If you want me to spit out a Dallas datasheet i can do it, but I'm sure from what you've seen of me, I'm a bit bitter about Dallas.
