Regarding money i can understand when it is the country highly adopted tradition however this tradition only persists because of idiots fueling it, women do work nowadays.
And anywhere else in the world if you spending money on them you are putting them in the highest possible pedestal and lowering yourself. Why just not pay a monthly salary to a professional prostitute, it will cost much less in the long run and will avoid all hassles of relationships.
