NYC and Chicago are A+ for both daygame and nightgame.
Can't speak for Miami. I've heard mixed reviews.
Been to SD. Beautiful city but terrible for game. Sprawling, not much foot traffic, horrid ratios, 2 AM closing time. Bad for both daygame and nightgame. High quality of life otherwise.
The logistics in Chicago are God-tier.
If you stay in Lincoln Park, you're in a neighborhood good enough for daygame, nightgame, and sightseeing (two world class parks, the free zoo, beaches, and Lake Michigan), not to mention you're within 3 miles of Lakeview, Wicker Park, the Magnificent Mile, River North, and the Gold Coast).
