That guy in the video most likely got burned by a foreigner years ago back when it was ridiculously easy and he can't forget it. Many of them have a kind of inferiority complex, that's why they feel the need to show off with fancy clothes and so on. At the same time, they act and think they're superior to the west. After living there for 5 years I can say the Chinese are the most butthurt and jealous people on the planet, particularly the men.
Same thing is going on in the Philippines, except being "rich" here only means having a brand new economy car, lol.
