The major reason I picked this order originally, although obviously with less information than you guys, was because:

The specific reason is because I am a bit overweight right now. By the time I would presumably hit Manila I will have lost at least 20 lbs from where I'm at now, but it's the easiest to game in anyway so it wouldn't be nearly as much of a handicap.
Moving forward I will probably be losing 15-20 lbs a month, probably closer to 20. That means with the schedule I set up I will be in great shape by the time I hit HCMC, so I will have put my best foot forward with regards to SMV and game.
Not saying I'm opposed to your advice or that I won't look into it, just that that was my previous reasoning.

Oh just noticed I forgot to mention my most important reasons for 2 weeks in KL and Jak.
About Ramadan, I was in Iran 5 years ago for Ramadan. Keep in mind that Iran is very severe when it comes to Islamic law compared to most countries (possibly excluding Saudi and a few other places). I highly doubt anywhere in SEA is as strict about anything during Ramadan. That being said, in Iran I had trouble even buying a bottle of water during the day time. Every date I tried to go on during the day was entirely ruined because everything social was closed. Even hookahs, which are probably the only thing Iranians can legally do for fun, weren't available until sundown. I couldn't even get a chicken and rice meal after I went to the gym unless I went late night.
Anyways, back to the topic at hand. The main reason I want to stay in KL and Jak for two weeks is the following. In my entire life in the US I have never met anyone that I know of from Malaysia and I'm nearly 29. I've only known one Indonesian guy and went to an Indonesian consulate once and that is simply because it is close to where I grew up and I was invited. I REALLY want flags from all the countries I'm visiting, but particularly from Malaysia and Indonesia because I am worried I'll never get them unless I'm forced to fly back. With Phils and BKK I would guess that it is so easy to get the flag that I'm not worried (I already have Phils flag many times over). Also although Vietnam might be the hardest of the bunch, I live in a city with a huge Viet population and will be moving to another city with an even bigger Viet population, so if for whatever reason I don't get the flag it can still be done.
