For those flying to/from the smaller Sandefjord Torp airport with Wizz Air, you can save a few bucks by using one of the Polish transfer companies (you will take an old minibus with most likely only Polish people). May take a bit longer but they also offer driving you all the way to your destination address. Booking in advance is necessary. Example: http://www.polskibuss.com

Dantes already said, he flew from Germany and not got checked his passport but do you know anything about that?

If we fly to Oslo from Milan, do we get our passports checked at Oslo airport? I don't care about me, because I have Italian passport but my friend has American passport, could be problem for him. He gets into EU via Poland/Hungary because of the loophole.

Hi,

You do not get your passports checked. Norway, although not part of European union, is part of Schengen space, so once you're inside of it you can roam free inside certain European countries, including Italy.

I've been to Oslo twice and honestly didn't feel that expensive. At night I managed to have dinner at restaurants for like 20 euros. I used to go to Italians on "aker bridge"area (area with lots of bars and ristorants) and eat a pasta plus a beer and all those restaurants around were around that price. Even with an entrée it doesn't go more than 25, and it was decent quality. The restaurants were full of chicks in groups, getting boozed up for the bars.
Of course, you can spend way more specially if you order any wine or eat like a beast. But I felt I was paying just 10 euros more I would pay in Lisbon so not really much. I remember the beer in the restaurant was 5 euros, of course the local one on tap.
On the other hand, on the bars around it was like 8/9 euros for a beer.
Regarding grocery prices, when I needed to buy anything I would go to the more hood area. Really close to the central station, on the way to grunerloka, there's a block of streets around storgata full of immigrants and their grocery stores. I must say I found things as cheap as in Portugal, I was really surprised.for the basics like fruit and pasta or vegetables I felt like in Portugal. The exception was meat and fish but nothing really unaffordable. Alcohol is just crazy even in the supermarket, but I guess if you wanna be drunk buy a bootle of vodka and drink it trough 3 days or just drink 2 beers a night.
Oslo is a cool city, everything is close by and walkable if you live in the center, forget taxis, it's crazy there.
