It seems you didn't read through the thread my friend so I'll give you a quick run down of the best options.
Iztapalapa (Constitucion de 1917, cerro de la estrella in particular), Doctores, Tepito, Pantitlan, Ciudad Neza, Milpa Alta, Oceania, GAM, Ecatepec.
That's a pretty thorough list
I hate to kill the joke by explaining it, but for anyone new just coming into this thread, this is a list of known danger zones and/or places where tourists rarely go. In reality they're mostly harmless if you take the right precautions (I live in one of them) but they're not good options for a first visit.

9 pages is brutal man I feel you, who even has time to read these threads in their entirety? I recommend Santa Fe.
My trolling detector is broken. Santa Fe is where a lot of the best corporate jobs are, so anyone sent here on business could very well end up there. Expensive, not very 'Mexican' in character, and a bit hard to get to. When I was new in town, I paid a taxi driver to give me a tour of Santa Fe, since a lot of well-meaning but misguided Mexicans had told me I'd be happy living there. It's their futuristic image of what life in the US must be like.
