This thread is delivering in a serious way.
911's pictures of that crazy cult are insane, and Zel is correct in saying that if guys like us were willing to abuse the concept of spirituality then we could build some seriously successful followings.

Who knows what kind if insane society someone like Roosh could build if he went off the deep end!
Dude! The Rajneeshis were everywhere in the eighties, with their signature magenta saris.

Best cult of all time because rampant sex was encouraged as a transcendent practice. Doctors, lawyers, professionals dropped their whole lives to follow the Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, and give him their money.
Even when I left California in my early twenties I found them all over the world, enticing me in Ireland, or running a 6 dollar a night hostel on a barge in Amsterdam with a sex den, I mean dormitory, where men and women slept in the same room and together, and you couldn't sleep for the moans.
Spiritual bitches everywhere:

Dude was the spiritual player supreme. The only value of growing up in California at the time was that I had seen so many spiritual scammers by the time I came across him, I saw him for what he was.
His books, available in many college libraries were a sad amalgam of all sorts of esoteric traditions cobbled together seemingly by whim.
You could look into his eyes though and see he was a psycho:

He was rebranded later as Osho, and is taken seriously to this day, though if you are going to take him seriously, it should be in the way you take Edward Bernays seriously, as a master propagandist. Or as a collector of Rolls Royces, he had a shit load.
Good doc here about how they took over a town and started trying to kill non adherents. Read as inspiration or a heads up about how not to be gulled by the faux spiritual:
Anyway, if you were to buy a town, and try to run as you saw fit, you would learn a lot from the dude.
